About the project
This project was part of a UX experiment to test a minimalist calculator experience on UPrinting’s business card product detail page (PDP). While the original calculator displayed all product options at once, the new test version surfaces only the most essential selections—Printing Time and Quantity—upfront.
Other options such as Business Card Type, Size, and Paper Type were moved into a drawer-style sliding panel that appears after clicking the Continue button. The goal was to reduce cognitive load and create a more focused, step-by-step user experience.
Design
I designed both the web and mobile versions of the calculator UI for this project. The focus was on minimizing visual distractions to deliver a cleaner and more streamlined interface. In the sliding drawer panel, each product option is presented with a thumbnail to assist users in making confident selections. For mobile, elements such as expanded quantity views were adapted into modal popups to improve usability on smaller screens.
Across both versions, the design emphasizes clarity and simplicity—surfacing only essential options up front while gradually revealing more detailed choices through a user-friendly, step-by-step drawer interface. The overall goal was to create a more intuitive and guided shopping experience, helping customers make faster and more confident purchase decisions.

Figma Prototype
You can directly experience the interactions through the Figma prototype. I created an interactive prototype of the design in Figma and included the link for easy access. Feel free to explore the user flow and functionality as intended.
